Franz MarcFranz Marc was born in Munich on February 8th, 1880. From 1900 to 1902, he studied at the Royal Academy of Art in Munich with Gabriel Hackl and Wilhelm von Diez. His painting style was affected by Macke and Kandinsky. Marc’s paintings dealt with the principal theme “animals” using color as most important expression-element.
